Inspired by nature and a culture of graduation towers in AROUND THE PLEASURE PRINCIPLE, we create an environment conducive to experiencing pleasure. Does there need to be an unpleasant tension first to initiate the process of generating pleasure? Can we create an environment that is full of relief and soothing? Or perhaps we are capable of experiencing pure pleasure? Can we weaken the effect of the principle of reality? How long can we maintain a state of relaxation and ease?
In the IP Studio we design an experience that combines organic materials (blackthorn twigs), water flow with synchronized light & sound interventions, generative water drops and speach synthesis. Take a deep breath and soothe your senses.
AROUND THE PLEASURE PRINCIPLE is the 7th edition of the cyclic Ambient Room project carried out in the IP Studio in Wrocław, an open artist-run space and creative studio led by the IP Group artistic collective. In their activities, the authors analyze selected media aspects and design multidimensional immersive environments. The next edition of the project is planned for 2024.
