IP #21
2-channel camera performance and happening
premiere: 2012
concept & implementation: IP GROUP
On December 21, 2012, the artists of the IP Group hid in the Wroclaw Contemporary Museum, which is located in an air-raid shelter whose cement walls are 101 cm thick. This activity was a reaction to the approach of the end of the world, as announced in the media. It was also an attempt at creating conditions within the minds of the participants
that accompanied such extreme experiences.

or die.
site-specific performance on the body and architecture
inspired by "Anna In in the Tombs of the World" by Olga Tokarczuk
premiere: 9.04.2015, The Gdańsk Meetings of Literary Translators “Found in Translation”

directing: IP Group + Łukasz Twarkowski
dramaturgy: Anka Herbut
video: IP Group
soundscape: IP Group
performer: Marta Malikowska

Anna In is an anagram of the Sumerian war and love goddess' name, Inanna –the heroine of the oldest myth, in which God dies and resurrects, denying the division between life and death. Inanna was the first one. On the basis of her story, various myths, beliefs and literary narrations dealing with the tragedy of mortality have appeared. In the performance "or die" inspired by Inanna’s myth, woman's body is inscribed into the cold and anonymous, monochrome architecture resembling a labyrinth. Gravitation stops to operate. Time loses its
linearity. The morphemes of the primal words build the very new and yet unrecognizable structures. A myth, just as language, can absorb the horror of death. It can't be that we are gone. What does it mean gone?

FF (Fast Forward)
premiere: 2011
short movie

director ŁUKASZ TWARKOWSKI
fairy-tale ANKA HERBUT
set design PIOTR CHOROMAŃSKI
video editing & fx JAKUB LECH [IP] & BARTOSZ NALAZEK
music & sound design BOGUMIŁ MISALA [IP]
costumes GREGOR GONSIOR
cast BARTOSZ PORCZYK & KACPER KURYŚ
production TEATR POLSKI WROCŁAW & IP GROUP

The film is a result of reflection upon the process of a child's conversion into an adult as well as the process of socialization full of orders and prohibitions which shape a person's personality. The narrative pivots around a story told in a syntax which is flawed yet rich in terms of visual-sonic language, and which expresses the child's perspective in a metaphorical way. The title FF refers to the command FAST FORWARD: each narrative has its beginning and its end and each narrative - as in film – can be rewound to the beginning or sped up.
